KMT News Release Nov.9, 2008 DPP Chairperson Tsai Ing-wen requested that President Ma Ying-jeou cancel the Kuomintang-Chinese Communist Party (KMT-CCP) platform for consultations. KMT Deputy Secretary-general Chang Jung-kung responded that Tsai was attempting to jeopardize the peaceful development of relationships across the Taiwan Strait by disrupting the KMT-CCP platform and throwing up roadblocks between the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait (ARATS) and the Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF).
